Product Overview

The QA11-CG-xxM-C1 is a 100Gbps QSFP28 Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for high-speed, shortreach data communication in data center and high-performance computing environments. It integrates multimode optical fiber with QSFP28 transceiver modules on both ends, providing a compact and plug and play interconnect solution.

The AOC supports four-channel full-duplex transmission, where each channel operates at up to 25 Gb/s, enabling an aggregate data rate of 100Gbps. It uses VCSEL-based optical technology over multimode fiber (MMF), ensuring reliable performance with low latency and reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper solutions.

This integrated cable solution eliminates the need for separate optical transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation and improving overall system reliability. It is ideal for intra-rack and inter-rack connections, supporting reach distances from 1 meter up to 100 meters.

The module is compliant with QSFP28 form factor requirements and supports Digital Diagnostics via a two-wire interface for monitoring operational parameters. It operates from a single 3.3V power supply with low power dissipation (typically less than 3.5W per end) and supports a commercial operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C.
